FootPrints API Overview

FootPrints comes with two powerful programming interfaces to integrate your service desk with other critical applications in your organization:

Database API—A fully documented set of commands for accessing the database directly. Create and update Issues, perform queries, import data, and perform other tasks from a batch job, Visual Basic script, or other application. This API is uniform for all versions of FootPrints.
FootPrints Web Services API—An XML/SOAP Web Services interface to FootPrints is available for all platforms for integration with other applications. It supports .NET 1.1 and 2.0, Java, and Perl. Functions are available for creating Issues, updating Issues and querying the database.
