You may need to search for Solutions across multiple
Workspaces. While
there are limited options to view Solutions from multiple Workspaces from
the Knowledge Base area, a cross-workspace report of Solutions allows you
to use multiple search criteria. You must be a member of the Workspaces
to be included in the report and have permission to run cross-workspace
reports, or be a System Administrator.
To run a cross-workspace
report of Solutions:
Select Reports | Cross
Workspace | Copy
from the FootPrints Toolbar .
Select the Workspaces
to include in the report. Use
the CTRL
key to highlight more than one Workspace.
Click GO.
Select the desired
formatting options, fields displayed, etc., as described in Custom Reporting.
To get the full details
of the Solution, make sure to include the Description
field in Step 3 (the
field may have another name, such as Notes
or Details).
To include
the name of the Workspace where the Solution resides, select Workspace
Name.
Under Select
Report Criteria, for Status,
highlight Internal
Solution and/or Public
Solution. This limits the report to the Knowledge Base
only.
Select
the other criteria for the report. For example, to return Solutions
with the word “password” in the Solution, enter password
for as the keyword. Do not specify any Address Book information,
as Solutions do not contain Address Book data.
Click GO. The
results of the report are displayed in a new browser window, specifying
the Workspace for each Solution.
