Viewing the Alignability Process Model

The Alignability Process Model describes service management processes in a simple four-level structure. The model provides the easiest and fastest possible access to detailed information that tells the users what needs to be done in the relevant situation. This structure ensures that detailed instructions are always only clicks away from the model itself.

The Incident Management process of the Alignability Process Model describes how to resolve support requests as quickly as possible in a prioritized manner

 

To view a management process of the Alignability Process Model from an Issue page:

  1. On an Issue page, click the Request Management Alignability Process link located above the Title field.
    The Request Management Process workflow page of the Alignability Process Model appears in a new tab. The link name varies based on the type of record you are viewing. For example, on a Change Request page, the link is named Change Management Alignability Process.takes you to the Change Management page of the Alignability Process Model.
  2. Perform any of the following actions:
  3. To view one of procedures of the Incident Management process, click one of the boxes that make up the process.
  4. To view the work instructions for a step within a procedure, click the action box or the decision diamond that symbolizes the step.
    1. Action boxes symbolize actions that need to be taken. One arrow always points to an action box. One arrow points from an action box when further action is required after it has been completed.
    2. Decision diamonds symbolize decisions that need to be made. One arrow always points to a decision diamond. Two arrows always point from a decision diamond.
    3. Event circles symbolize events or situations that have occurred. No arrows point to an event circle. One arrow always points from an event circle.
  5. In each procedure, to view a description of the roles and responsibilities of the current process, click Role.

 

To view the Alignability Process Model from the Home page:

Click the More button and select APM. The Alignability Process Model page appears in a new tab.
